What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Satisfied enough to not look elsewhere but could be better. Bonus's are recognised in an odd way but do come through for good work (although its normally when you're under the pump). The insurance benifits are good though and save us a lot of money.

Pay is AECOM's weakness. They do not determine salary increase through performance but rather "averages" from the past years ACE survey. By the time pay reviews come along, factors like inflation and tax bracket increase make the pay increase pretty much worthless. I know that my university peers are getting paid 5-8k more than me at the moment.

Young professionals do not have any bonuses and also pay is quite low
Graduate, Auckland
Bonuses aren't usually given. Its almost impossible to negotiate the pay unless you're about to leave to another company. The pay overall is average.

Could be better, no bonuses

The pay review after year 1 was quiet dissapointing. This was felt throughout the entire graduate program. I don't know how this pay review compares to other workplaces but the amount alone was not very encouraging looking forward. There are also no bonuses.
Graduate, Hamilton
No bonus and your hardwork as grad will not be counted. every grad will get paid same

The strict pay band is quite unfortunate, given I have done an extra year and two months more than other graduates; however, I am stuck on the same pay band because we started the same graduate programme together. I worked full-time as an intern and undergraduate during that 1 and 2 months period.

Pay is ok, it is above the renumeration survey results, but can drop off a bit as you transition from graduate to professional. We don't get bonuses aside from the encore awards, and team lunches that are from getting back good client feedback.
Graduate, Hamilton
I think base pay is good but there should be bonuses to aim for
Graduate, Auckland
It is not too bad. Very opaque and rigid in the first few years. Know one really knows about bonsuses, I got a bonus but I don't know if anyone else did.

Its okay

Pay was good but after review the bump was not as much as I would hope
Graduate, Christchurch
I know its not the worst but it does not add up to the work we do and the current market !

Graduates get paid a general sump with limited wriggle room. Generally not much more than the undergraduates or first years.
Graduate, Wellington
I haven't received a bonus and talks of bonuses aren't common. The pay is actually okay It's the taxes that's the issue.
Graduate, Auckland
Good pay for graduates starting out, not much in terms of bonuses.

With the changes to fringe benefit tax we can buy a bike through Evo Cycles as a salary deduction over 1-12 months. This is a pre-tax deduction effectively giving at least a 30% discount on a new bike!

Was nice to get a couple of ubers for the onboarding process and in office morning teas/lunches etc. have been really great.

We have discounts for travel, mostly rental cars and hotels, where we can use the corporate rates for personal use. We have health insurance with Southern Cross, as well as will, pay insurance etc. We have really good parental leave policies, ability to purchase additional leave, and employer matched KiwiSaver. We have some health benefits including a rebate for gym membership and tax free ebike or bike purchase.
Graduate, Hamilton
I love that we get some health insurance but wish it was more comprehensive
Graduate, Auckland
Great well being rebates, health insurance and stuff like this. Lots of morning teas and good friday drinks set up. Standard leave stuff, but very flexible with it. The global reach is a really good perk with lots of people transferring overseas and vice versa.
