Your role

About the team:

Amazon’s Global Sourcing team is looking for customer-obsessed interns to lead initiatives that automate sourcing workflow and project audit, enable supply chain resilience and supplier capability utilization, and improve product development efficiency for the Private Label business. The duration of the internship will be 24 weeks start from Jun or Jul 2024. The intern will work in the Amazon Global Sourcing office in Nanshan, Shenzhen.

Deliverables:

• Complete the tasks assigned by the hiring manager: constantly optimize an existing data dashboard/ reporting, improve data automation, set up a centralized data repository, etc.
• Collaborate with functional teams such as Sourcing Managers, Technology, and Business Intelligence to help either launch new initiatives or enhance existing ones.
• Deliver analysis documents regarding responsible initiatives.

 

Key job responsibilities:

• To enable supply chain resilience, support the sourcing initiatives by constantly optimizing the existing data-based tool and develop a holistic analytics dashboard to provide more insights for Sourcing Managers.
• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and complete initiatives/deliverables on time
• Launch automation audit solution for workflow sub-tasks and launched business
• Conduct the industry landscape research on selected product types for categories, including product portfolio analysis, vendor capability mapping, and product manufacturing landscape research (both qualitative and quantitative)
• Assist Sourcing Managers with supplier data analysis, auditing, or reporting

About you

Basic qualifications:

• Graduate between Dec 2024 to Sept 2025, currently working towards a Bachelor (BS) or Master (MS) in Data Science, Marketing, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or Information Management (or similar field)
• High attention to detail, comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel
• Work 4 to 5 days per week for 6 months, physically in Shenzhen.

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior internship experience in business analytics or related field
• Prior project management experience
