Design, specification, development, and deployment of camera metrology systems of automation machines. This equipment calibrates and verifies performance for use during Apple's new product introduction (NPI).
Work with equipment vendors to design the perfect equipment from scratch for calibrating and verifying the performance of Apple products
Design, develop, debug, and optimize vision system to meet accuracy and precision requirements for its calibration and performance verification
Define project plans and schedules. Drive project execution.
Work with tech_Ops team to define fixture tolerance band relevant w/ vision system, including camera, lens, lighting, and mechanical portion
Vision system analysis, and implementation risk assessment that impacts consistency.
Evaluate proposals from multiple vendors, selecting the best candidates to create design requirements for the vision system
Define auto program classes to simplify onsite tuning, categorize vision program
Perform GR&R & Cpk to validate machine/fixture capability.
About you
Education & Experience:
MS or PhD Degree in Optical Engineering
Key Qualifications:
Deep knowledge in two or more of the following: camera calibration, image processing, AI/ML, optical instrumentation
Experience in image quality, camera performance characterization, camera imaging science, and calibration
Faster learner, innovative/think differently, self-motivated, can define/study/tackle problems by himself/herself.
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills, in a worldwide environment, oral & written with English and Mandarin.
Remains flexible and calm in times of uncertainty.
Good mathematics, and statistics background, understanding of tolerance analysis, process capability, and 6-sigma principles will be a plus
Experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly multi-functional, and fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel frequently.
