Engineering Project Manager Intern (Start ASAP)

Your role

Job Summary:

• The Engineering Project Manager intern (EPM) will work at the system level, shipping iPhone/iPad/iPod/Apple Watch or Apple Accessories products in engineering, quality improvements, or new supplier qualification areas.
• This particular role will focus on driving engineering & quality improvement qualifications.
• The EPM intern will coordinate with system/PRQ EPMs to lead cross-functional teams and China OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) teams to resolve engineering issues arising from mass production, supply situations, and field returns.
• This role includes identifying, evaluating, and driving the various activities while communicating the risks, priorities, and schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist system EPM to lead multi-functional engineering teams towards completion of qualifications
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to complete qualifications
• Succinctly communicate the overall status of qualifications across functional team
• Travel to China domestically or to the US to drive builds where needed

About you

To apply for this role, you must have the following qualifications:

• Available to join internship/co-op full-time for 6-12 months
• Current Junior or rising Senior student with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering /Computer and Electrical Engineering/ Material Science, with hardware and related background/experience
• Strong multidisciplinary, technical background
• Experience in multi-tasking and project management
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (In both Chinese and English)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Masters Degree in a relevant field
