Your role

About the team:

Apple’s Module Reliability Group — specifically battery technologies, guides development teams toward a reliable design of new technology components! In this role, you will play a key part in developing a motion detection algorithm for a test automation project.

Description:

Apple is looking for someone to design and develop motion detection algorithms that align with project requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in testing scenarios.

• You will work with various data sources and videos to capture relevant information for motion analysis to integrate them into the overall system.
• You will also work with both internal and external teams including reliability, product design, and supplier to refine the solution.
• Most importantly, you will be able to make the ground-breaking technology that impacts life in various testing labs.

About you

Education & Experience:

• MS/PhD in CS/EE/Imaging Science

Key Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of computer vision principles, image processing, and motion detection algorithms, including spatial/frequency domain analysis, geometric transform, feature detection, registration, segmentation, object detection and classification, etc.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: C++/Python/Java/Halcon
• Familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks: OpenCV
• Solid understanding of algorithm design and development
• Basic understanding of reliability testing tool
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills; clear communication with diverse teams.
