Digital - Intern (Start ASAP)

BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the digital technologies and applying the high safety standards.

What You Can Expect

As BIG Digital Enablement Team, we're responsible for leveraging advanced and innovative digital solutions, products, and methodologies to enable digitalization in the Zhanjiang Verbund Site, We foster a digital culture, organize digital training & learnings, drive digital innovation, ensure information protection and cyber security, consult, design, deliver and operate business-specific applications and be responsible for entire application lifecycle management in Zhanjiang Verbund Site. The objective for this role is to:

• Be part of the Smart Utilities solution delivery team and drive the implementation of DUO Cockpit (Utility and Energy Management System).
• Coordinate with the project team to guarantee project delivery in terms of scope, quality, cost, and schedule. Support technical management interfacing operation teams, finance and controlling, IT/OT expertise, external partners, etc.
• Be a role model of digitalization as a fundamental enabler for the entire BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site organization.

Main Tasks

• Support data collection from control systems (e.g. DCS, PLC, building management system BMS, industrial Internet of Things solutions IIoT) and data archiving systems (e.g. PIMS).
• Development of graphics for Human-Machine-Interface (HMI).
• Together with project team to drive the definition of high-quality processes and requirements for the digital solution. Ensure the sustainable definition and implementation of the process modeling and master data for the target picture for utility and energy management.
• Support to prepare relevant documents, and organize coordination activities that are required to ensure smooth execution of DUO Cockpit.

What We Expect

• Education: University graduate, majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Working Experience: Innovative project at university or other relevant internship experiences.
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Business Process Modeling Know-how, Project Management Experience, Service Management, Information Technology and Trends.
• Good oral speaking English is a plus.
• Ideally able to work as an intern for around six months.
