Research Intern (Start ASAP)

Your role

What You'll Do: 

• China Research Team in BCG is looking for a strong candidate to support the team on various research requests, with a focus on the Japanese market
• The role provides the chance to gain initial experience in research for one of the globally leading consulting firms

Who You'll Work With: 

The data analytics and artificial intelligence professionals mix deep domain expertise with advanced analytical methods and techniques to develop innovative solutions that help clients tackle their most pressing issues. The team designs algorithms and builds complex models out of large amounts of data.

About you

To apply for this role, you need to have the following eligibility criteria:

Competencies: 

• Knowledgeable and passionate about research
• Thinking analytically
• Working accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment
• Working well independently and in a collaborative team environment for a high level of quality and customer service
• Clear and confident communication, able to deliver messages in a concise manner

Experience and Qualifications: 

• Project/internship experience in industrial research is a plus
• Good communication in Chinese and Japanese (JLPT N1 is a must)
• Strong attention to detail and learning agility
• Solid analytical skills
• Good command of Excel
• Passion for and interest in research
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks in parallel

Training & development

BCG offers internships within core consulting, but also a number within the tech space, such as data science and analytics, strategic and experience design, and software engineering, to name a few. Whichever internship you choose, you’ll have a dedicated support network of BCGers teaching you new skills every day such as problem-solving, data analysis, and presenting and pitching ideas, setting you up for success in whichever career path you choose.  This is an internship period is for at least 3 months.
