Cummins Inc. is hiring an entry-level Electronic Systems Product Engineer for their Wuhan team to design, configure, and validate cutting-edge electronic systems for their products.
Responsibilities of an Electronic Systems Product Engineer include:
Investigating and resolving electronic application and system problems with guidance from senior team members.
Supporting the enhancement of development processes and tools, including system specification, modeling, simulation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Using simulation, calibration, and maintenance tools effectively.
Gathering input from customers, technical teams, and stakeholders to inform quality product decisions.
Making design, calibration, and testing decisions that impact system performance and quality.
Resolving issues in moderately complex components, systems, and subsystems, with increasing technical complexity over time.
Executing established processes independently while contributing to process improvement.
Coordinating and directing work among technicians or temporary staff as needed.
Contributing to team goals and developing key competencies for role success.
About You
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Entry-level/Early career professional. Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred.
Qualifications:
Familiar with embedded control system design and application.
Familiar with the theory of power generation and its application.
Rich knowledge of electrical hardware and electronic controls system hardware and software
Support power generator product development for the global market.
