Your role

Meet your team:

Cummins is a global power technology leader and corporation of complementary business units that design, engineer, manufacture, distribute, and service engines and related technologies, ranging from fuel systems, controls, and air handling to filtration, emission solutions, and electrical power generation systems.

What you'll do:

  • Work with marketing teams to provide general marketing support to achieve and exceed business goals:
    • Understand market and industry trends
    • Participates in new product introduction and existing product change introduction
    • Responsible for supporting the development and deployment of specific product, price, place, and promotional plans for a product line(s) that result in profitable growth
  • Help to develop marketing plans by preparing basic market research and pricing analyses
  • Present data to the manager for discussion and interpretation
  • Work with leaders to develop marketing communication plans; prepare drafts of marketing communications
  • Provide project management support and communicate plans, deadlines, and achievements to project team members
  • Learn the role of Marketing on Value Package Introduction project teams as an observer; may support other marketing team members with assigned responsibilities
  • Learn the global brand strategy and how to align work products to that strategy
  • Learn about relevant marketing and sales systems and processes; collected customer satisfaction data to present to the manager for discussion and interpretation
  • Learn relevant channels to support marketing activities
  • Understand target market and market competitors; with the Product Manager, plan for and implement an appropriate product range response
  • Monitor ongoing customer satisfaction and work with the Product Manager to solve ongoing customer issues with the product range
  • Understand and deploy all aspects of the marketing promotional matrix to ensure the successful launch of new products
  • Understand available marketing resources and use those resources appropriately and as needed to support the product range
  • Develop content product literature with product specifications, cross reference, and other information; develop global training material content
  • Team with and collaborate across regions and business units

About you

What you bring:

  • College, or university degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a technical (Mechanical Engineering or Electronic and Electrical) related subject required
  • Knowledge of and experience using the four P's of marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) is preferred
