Your role

About the team:

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, the team designs and develops software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

What you’ll achieve:

At the Dell Technologies Data Protection Storage Business Unit, creating world-class-leading products to protect customers’ data.  As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a global core storage team to assist in delivering compelling features for new products or provide support on enhancement work for In-market products.  

You will:

• Under supervision with an assigned supervisor, learn and understand the skills and knowledge required for daily work
• Start from testing and test development to get familiar with Data Protection products
• Work on potential Proof of Concept innovation projects by utilizing industry cutting-edge technologies like AI
• Work on software development to deliver features for undergoing projects

About you

Essential Requirements:

• Major in Computer Science or with subjects related to Computer Science
• Good understanding of Linux OS and x86 based Computer System Architecture
• Good programming skills in one of the programming languages:  C,  Python, or Go
• Strong reading and writing skills in English, good scores with tests of CET-6, TOEFL, IELTS, or others
• Can work in 2 or more days a week for at least 6 months

Desirable Requirements:

• A quick learner, a good team player, and can-do on assignments
• Good communication skills, especially,  good listening and speaking in English would be a big plus
