Your role

About the team: 

The Disney+Hotstar Beijing R&D team is part of the Walt Disney Group and has hundreds of highly qualified engineers who are passionate about technology and innovation. They are good at front-end and back-end engineering development, video encoding, streaming media, advertising services, machine learning, and personalized use, and play an important role in the security field.

What you will do: 

The applicant is required to be able to develop in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and platforms, and be interested in programming implementation related to the next-generation recommendation engine. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Design and develop a high-performance, monitorable recommendation engine module
• Develop, maintain, and improve recommendation algorithm modules, including online or offline recommendation engine modules
• Follow engineering best practices such as design patterns, code review, and automated testing
• Understand performance issues in services and improve algorithms

About you

Qualifications:

• Familiar with Java and Linux programming, in-depth understanding of web services and storage systems
• Experience in machine learning, experience in recommendation algorithms is a plus
• Independent, passionate about technology, willing to accept challenges, good at communication
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering preferred
