Your role

Join the team:

Ericsson is now looking for an intern to assist with data analytics including the study, development of AI use cases, data management, data engineering, and data analytics. The intern will be part of an artificial intelligence and machine learning cross-functional team to develop the solutions.

What you will do:

• Participate in the development of applications using AI technologies, and develop AI tools.
• Engage in technical research, feasibility analysis, system, process structure design, and optimization.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions, including model training and optimization, data preprocessing, model evaluation, deployment, and capable of completing module design, development, validation, debugging, and resolving related technical issues.
• Explore and apply cloud native-based application deployment.

Career progression

As an Ericsson Intern, you will acquire new skills, apply your classroom learning, and be able to contribute to the networked society. Full-time conversion is not guaranteed for interns but can be the final result for interns who perform very well. Before starting the conversion process, it is important to understand the following steps.

• Intern discusses long-term interest with his/her manager
• The manager seeks approval to enter requisition
• Requisition goes through the approval chain
• Once the Requisition is approved, the recruiter and manager discuss the offer details
• A full-time offer is made to intern

About you

You will bring:

• Major in software development-related fields such as Data Science.
• Enthusiastic about AI with a reasonable level of understanding and willingness to engage in in-depth learning in this field.
• Experience using data science and a certain level of understanding about it.
• Proficiency in Python, with a foundation in C and Java.
• Good English reading and writing skills, along with basic listening and speaking abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong learning abilities with a proactive approach to self-learning.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, proactive in work, and self-driven.
• Capability to work 3 days per week and last for half a year or more for an internship

Internship acceptance criteria:

• Current students - Students must graduate on or after the end date of the term
• Able to complete required hours - 20 hours during school year, 40 hours during summer
• Must qualify for hire - Must qualify for hire post-graduation
• 3.0 GPA - Slight exceptions with manager approval
