Compliance Consulting Intern (Feb 2025)

Your role

Compliance Consulting Intern (Japanese Group) Job Responsibilities:

• Mainly focus on data compliance, labor compliance, and corporate governance
• Under the guidance of the project manager, organize and summarize relevant information provided by clients
• Collect and organize domestic and foreign client compliance systems and contracts
• Combine domestic regulatory requirements
• Identify clients' potential risks and management flaws in internal control management and core business operations
• Put forward targeted improvement and optimization suggestions to form a consulting project report

Compliance Consulting Intern Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the team in research or information retrieval on relevant legal issues
• Under the guidance of the team, draft, revise, and translate relevant compliance documents
• Research ESG, state-owned enterprises, and overseas investment compliance
• Complete other assigned tasks

About you

Compliance Consulting Intern (Japanese Group) Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate law/Japanese major is preferred;
• Japanese N1 or fluent in English reading and writing, law/Japanese major is preferred
• Priority is given to those who have internship experience in law firms, Japanese corporate legal affairs, and automotive/pharmaceutical/medical industry companies
• Internship period: starting from March, about 6 months, 4-5 days a week (extendable), assessment once every 3 months, and there is a chance to become a regular employee

Compliance Consulting Intern Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate students majoring in law
• Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with a College English Test Band 6 or above
• Applicants who have passed the judicial examination or have a legal professional qualification certificate are preferred

Training & development

If you want to experience working in the professional services field, meet real clients, and participate in project practice, you are welcome to join the Ernst & Young Internship Program. In gaining practical work experience and professional training, you will have the opportunity to review your knowledge and skills and understand which abilities are required for work. Note that this internship is for 3-4 working days per week, for more than 6 consecutive months.

If you perform well during the internship, you will have the opportunity to be invited to participate in the partner interview after the internship and win an invitation to a full-time job at Ernst & Young.
