Your role

Your Responsibilities:

  • The objective of this position is to enrich the performance of a route planning module to support a sensor-sharing-based speed optimization module in a V2X wireless communication application
  • The candidate is responsible for researching and developing optimized models, designing the experiments for idea validation, and conducting experimental data using the instrumented vehicles and simulators
  • Proof and analyze the feasibility and usefulness of modeling in the decision-making/planning module of autonomous driving vehicles within the simulation platform and field of test
  • Research on environment assessment, real traffic world modeling, and virtualization including static environment and dynamic driving scenarios, driver behavior, traffic patterns, etc.

About you

To apply for this role, you need to have the following eligibility criteria: 

  • Master or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Physics, Math, or another area of technical specialization
  • Knowledge of V2X communication and Edge Computing technologies
  • Strong software development skills in C/C++ / Python under Linux environments with a proven ability to deliver high-quality software
  • Keen software skills, proven ability to develop project goals and plans
  • Develop requirements, performance evaluation metrics, and conduct performance benchmarking
  • Experience in prototyping algorithms, implementing and testing on vehicles and simulators
  • Desire and ability to bust through barriers while executing project team plans and independently running research projects
