HVDC R&D Electrical Engineering Intern (Start ASAP)

Your Role

Key responsibilities as follows:

• Perform semiconductor calculations and simulations to assess voltage stresses and losses.
• Conduct high-power testing in laboratories to verify calculations.
• Conceptualize, simulate, develop, and test power electronics circuits for high-power transmission.
• Design and specify components, collaborate with suppliers, and test prototypes.
• Oversee the design of electrical subsystems from concept to final verification.
• Modify and upgrade power electronics control board hardware and software.
• Support mechanical development with system input and stress evaluations.
• Provide technical support for tendering and delivery projects.
• Address technical challenges with innovative solutions.
• Work agilely in teams, taking ownership of technology and personal development.

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

• A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent.
• Preferable work experience in similar industries.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and converter prototyping/testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with software like LTspice, MATLAB, or PSCAD.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
