Your Role

Your job responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality interior design services across all remote channels (including live video calls) to ensure an excellent customer experience for B2C and corporate customers
  • Exceed customer expectations by actively listening to key customer needs and wishes (including budget range) and translating them into interior design solutions that are relevant, practical, beautiful, commercially viable, and tailored to the customer's needs
  • When designing solutions, take into account all aspects of design, such as function, architectural elements, size, color, material, shape, form, ergonomics, lighting, and sustainability, reflecting a comprehensive design concept and IKEA interior design style
  • Work closely with customers to lead the entire design process from start to finish to ensure a proactive sales approach and follow up on possible improvements to build customer trust in the IKEA brand
  • Every contact Showcase business ideas to maximize sales when meeting customers
  • Use global tools and best practices to present interior design solutions in a way that is high quality, simple, efficient, and cost-conscious
  • Master the latest interior design trends, understand the specific needs of different customer groups and competitors, and help IKEA become an influential and leading brand in home and office life
  • Provide input, participate in setting and working towards personal goals, and ensure that personal goals are consistent with and contribute to the achievement of unit, function, and team goals
  • Actively understand information about IKEA products and services to stay up to date with business priorities and activities to maintain the ability to lead sales
  • Put IKEA's social and environmental commitments into practice to promote sustainable development
  • Obtain relevant customer insights and help colleagues in the interior design department and other INGKA departments improve the customer experience

About You

What you’ll need to have: 

Knowledge

  • Fully understand IKEA's corporate image, core values, and vision of creating a better everyday life for the public
  • Familiar with local home life/office life requirements
  • Proficient in all aspects of interior design (such as functionality, space, layout, ergonomics, architecture, style, materials, sustainable development, etc.), especially focusing on local social trends
  • In-depth understanding of customer journeys in different corporate business industries, such as services, hotels, education, residential construction, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of remote customer journeys and purchasing behaviors in an omnichannel environment
  • Familiar with local policies, laws, and regulations in public places and homes
  • In-depth understanding of IKEA product and service range, IKEA home style, style types, lighting arrangements, etc.
  • Understand how to measure personal performance and its role in achieving business goals
  • Familiar with IKEA's communication tone and interior design style
  • Familiar with IKEA sales skills and sales guidance
  • Familiar with relevant sales and design processes and tools
  • Proficient in data/computer skills
  • Motivation to practice and share IKEA's corporate culture and values ​​as a driving force.
  • Passionate about interior design and strive to exceed expectations and improve people's home life.
