The Design Engineering Group (DEG) is proud of developing the best-in-class SOCs, Cores, and IPs that power Intel’s products. As a critical provider of all Intel products, DEG leadership has a responsibility to ensure the delivery of these products in a cost-efficient and effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

The business and lab operation manager for the PDE Shanghai department will be responsible for department project portfolios, resources, processes, OKR management, and Lab operation management.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with PDE SH leaders and Global partners to get aligned on the target project portfolio, and resource plan, and make sure it is aligned with BU guidelines and business requirements during each POR cycle.
  • Make sure the PDE SH Team is operating within the finance target
  • Support PDE SH team communication, and manage QGS events and contents as needed.
  • PDE SH Team OKR management, make sure fully aligned with PDG China OKR
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of consistently compliant and efficient business operations management policies and practices. For example, the travel process, hiring process, shopping cart process, capital process, etc.
  • Contributes to project sizing and drive alignment with BU
  • Supports and enables lab operation including physical lab space, layout, hardware, and equipment support, lab logistics support, lab networking, and IT support
  • Performs lab asset management duties such as storage, transportation, calibration, service, audit, and equipment database maintenance
  • Coach lab members on specialized equipment usage and lab practices, and ensure safety, regulatory, and quality compliances are met
  • Oversees laboratory supplies inventory, checks stock levels, anticipates needed supplies, and manages supplier and vendor relations
  • Direct a team of lab technicians including their functions, activities, and responsibilities as required
  • Establishes quality standards for lab equipment, and implements new processes that increase the efficiency of lab operations, quality, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Oversees day-to-day operational activities, interfaces between PDE SH team, Finance, ICG China Ops, ICG Lab committee, etc., and provides counsel to PDE SH Lead assisting with people-related issues and/or driving business decision-making processes while ensuring compliance with financial, and corporate policies and overall organizational structural health
  • Provide administrative support to the department manager like scheduling meetings and organizing department-level events etc.

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English communications, writing and verbally
