Algorithm Engineer / Operational Optimization - Internship Program (Start ASAP)

Your role

Job description

• Participate in the research and exploration of operational optimization problems in JD's various business and ecological fields, such as using modelling tools to design, develop and deliver models for operational problems.
• Apply mathematical programming knowledge to design and develop decision support tools and software.
• Explore and innovate the research and development of algorithms in the direction of operational optimization/mechanism design with JD's technical team and scientists, and apply them to JD's e-commerce, finance, logistics and other business problem scenarios, such as pricing, inventory, logistics, supply chain management, scheduling and other aspects.

About You

To apply for this role, you must have the following eligibilities:

• Undergraduate students or above, with priority given to the 25th batch.
• With a background in but not limited to operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or other related majors, familiar with machine learning and operations research algorithms, and with practical experience preferred.
• Familiar with at least one of the following languages: Java, C/C++, Python, R, with strong programming skills, and familiarity with scripting languages, relational databases, and Linux is preferred;
• With good logical thinking ability, good communication skills, teamwork spirit and learning ability, and full of technical enthusiasm and ideals.
