Your role

About Corporate Sustainability:

PwC Corporate Sustainability focuses on enhancing the positive social impacts and minimizing the negative environmental impacts. The team works to continue its journey as a responsible business and deliver on its purpose of building trust in society and solving important problems.

Job description and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate volunteering activities and CS-related programs mainly for the Beijing office:
    • Assist in the volunteer recruitment process
    • Maintain effective communication with internal and external parties
    • Provide logistic support such as venue reservation, on-site support, payment arrangement
  • Support all CS communication materials as required
  • Support to other CS team members in China and Hong Kong for fundraisers, events, emergency appeals, and other strategic initiatives as required
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for activities involved; and logistical support for meetings, presentations, seminars, and training mainly for the Beijing office
  • Respond to all internal and external inquiries regarding CS promptly and professionally, with guidance from the senior team members

Reporting structure and key relationships:

Guided by the CS Managers and Consultants, the CS intern will play an important role in implementing and coordinating overall community engagement projects in the PwC Beijing office, working with the existing charity partners, and the rest of the Corporate Sustainability team across China and Hong Kong, to provide opportunities of volunteering activities for its people in Beijing office.

About you

Personal attributes required:

  • Passionate for and commitment to social responsibility
  • Motivated with strong time and project management skills to work on multiple tasks
  • Teamwork spirited yet can work independently with excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and careful with data and figures

Qualifications and experience:

  • A student who could work at least 3 days a week and on the job for at least 4 or 5 months is expected
  • Basic knowledge/experience in CSR/charities/NGO is preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken communication in English and Mandarin
  • Proven PC skills, highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong logistics, detail-minded, and good interpersonal communication skills desired
