About SAP

SAP is one of the world’s leading producers of software for the management of business processes. The company’s integrated applications connect all parts of a business into an intelligent suite on a fully digital platform, thereby replacing the process-driven, legacy platform. Today, SAP has more than 230 million cloud users, more than 100 solutions covering all business functions, and the largest cloud portfolio of any provider.

Your role

Meet your team:

The Human Capital Management (HCM) Mid-Market (MM) segment represents SAP’s fastest growth opportunity, particularly in the Cloud. To accelerate market share in MM, the purpose of the Sales Development Associate (SDA) Team is to find new customers, profile the entire company, find news and potential challenges to address them, and ultimately support Sales to turn them into SAP Customers. The team does this by leveraging innovative, digital, sales tools to give the customers a great first experience with SAP.

What you'll do:

Your mission as an SDA (Sales Development Associate) is to help your SDE (Sales Development Executive) and Sales Teams to engage with customers at the right time, with the right key decision maker you have profiled and the right personalized content. Your actions will enable the Sales Team to have an insightful next meeting with their customers and you will contribute to SAP’s revenue growth in the MM (Mid-Market) business segment.

In this role, you will impact this important part of SAP’s work by learning:

  • How to engage with customer decision-makers at C Level
  • Effective objection handling
  • Best practices in digital prospecting
  • SAP World Class Solutions

And you’ll do this by:

  • Having plenty of customer-facing time along with your SDEs and Account Executives
  • Planning digital engagement strategies and action plans in alignment with the SDA and Sales teams
  • Adopting and deploying the latest marketing and sales tools
  • Leveraging, nurturing, and accelerating Marketing digital signals to qualify accounts, identify prospects with the highest propensity to buy
  • Making sure decision-makers, in targeted companies, have all relevant details and messages to drive the decision process
  • Being at SAP’s cutting edge for driving digital transformation and innovation
  • Looking for additional opportunities to further enhance prospect contact such as digital activities and events
  • Active profiling of accounts following news, IPO, merge/acquisition, to isolate the best contact to target
  • Being proactively involved in your succession planning by acting as an SDA Trainee Program Advocate, such as promotion via social media, university, job boards, etc...

Training & development

Three reasons to intern at SAP:

  1. Culture of collaboration: Meet with mentors, make new friends across the globe, and create a thriving personal network.
  2. Project-driven experience: Gain cross-functional skills from the virtual and in-person learning sessions, diverse subject matter experts, and project deliverables.
  3. Gain visibility: With the SAP Internship Experience Program in your title, you’ll have a global network of SAP leaders, entrepreneurs, and career development opportunities at your fingertips.

Benefits of being an SAP intern:

  • The placement is paid
  • Ability to grow within the company after your studies (the objective is to get 80% of the teams built from former trainees)
  • Dedicated Managers (Operational SDE Manager and Trainee Program Manager)

  • Specific onboarding and learning framework
  • Get familiar with key digital marketing and sales tools
