Your Role

Meet your team:

SAP User Enablement - Language Experience Lab (LX Lab) is responsible for translating all SAP products worldwide, including Corporate Content collateral and Global Marketing. Language Experience outsources the majority of its translation work to small and midsize translation service providers (also known as Language Suppliers).

What You'll Do:

  • Acquire a solid understanding of SAP’s software localization processes
  • Assist in the daily operations of the language production and delivery teams, with an emphasis on streamlining and automating processes where possible
  • Document procedures related to the production, delivery, and maintenance of language services
  • Create and/or maintain process documentation related to production, delivery, and maintenance of languages
  • Monitor and process queries reported through the central repository system by SAP language suppliers worldwide
  • Learn to monitor and process network connectivity and provide backup support – On Demand
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of the team’s SharePoint page content

About You

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Translation Studies, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Business level oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Presence of at least 4 days per week in the office is needed, preferably Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Desirables:

  • Team work spirit
  • Fast learner with and strong customer-centric attitude
  • Have a high sense of responsibility and be detail-oriented
  • Agile, self-driven with a knack for problem-solving and independent research
  • Excellent self-organization skills, able to complete daily tasks without reminders
  • Experience on SDL Trados Studio is a plus
  • Experience in Simplified Chinese translation and quality review is a plus
  • Be patient, and have a strong interest in tasks that need many kinds of skills (interaction, logical thinking, solution design, customer support, etc..)
  • Not looking for a purely technical job such as a programmer
