Your Role
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Collaborate with Tesla engineers to debug low-voltage systems and diagnose field faults using remote data and onboard tools.
- Perform component-level failure analysis on low voltage controllers and wiring harnesses to identify and prevent new failure modes.
- Work with Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate issues and develop countermeasures.
- Develop automatic diagnostic logic and alarms for low-voltage drive functions.
- Conduct extensive data analysis to classify low voltage issues.
- Contribute to service product development, focusing on complex system functionality.
- Review and escalate user experience issues for potential firmware or hardware improvements.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams for efficient implementation and validation of new features.
- Identify product availability improvements to reduce costs.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of vehicle low voltage controllers and components like PCBA, FPGA, ASIC, and microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience in automotive systems development, testing, and validation.
- Proficiency in using an oscilloscope and tools like CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer.
- Ability to read and interpret Python and C/C++ code, with experience in data acquisition and processing tools.
- Skills in reading electrical schematics and experience with PCB design systems like Altium NEXUS.
- Ability to read, interpret, and design mechanical drawings, with experience in CAD systems like CATIA.
- Fluency in English, with additional languages preferred.
- Availability for an internship of 4 months or more.
