Material Testing Intern (Start ASAP)

Your role

Department Mission:

• To develop new materials and innovations to the VW Group
• To stand for excellent quality and expertise in materials technology
• To build a network of partners in China and VW Group around the topic of materials technology
• To exceed customer‘s expectations with advanced material solutions
• To provide safe, healthy, environmentally friendly, and sustainable materials

Your Responsibilities:

• Material testing for metal/non-metal components, e.g. metallography, Hardness, chemical composition, etc.
• Sample preparation, e.g. cutting, grinding, polishing, and etching
• Corrosion testing, e.g. equipment daily check, saltwater preparation, etc.
• Support other department daily work (e.g. sample management, material testing, etc.)

About you

To apply for this role, you need to have the following eligibility criteria: 

• An enrolled university student majoring in Material Science
• Excellent English skills (German language skills as a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Ability to work independently within team, high degree of motivation, initiative, and resilience
