Your Role

Job Description:

As a Basketball Game Event Assistant Intern at ESPN, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day preparation of the upcoming basketball game.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Event Coordination: Assist in coordinating all aspects of the basketball game, including logistics, scheduling, and communication with vendors and participants.
• Venue Preparation: Help with the setup and breakdown of the event venue, ensuring everything is in place and runs smoothly.
• Marketing and Promotion: Support the marketing team in promoting the event through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks such as managing event documentation, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
• Volunteer Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers for the event.
• On-Site Assistance: Be present on-site during the event to assist with operations, troubleshooting, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants

About You

To apply for this role, you must have the following eligibilities:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Event Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Passion for sports and event management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
