HVDC system design - Insulation Coordination Intern null

Your role

Your responsibilities:

• As a project engineer, you will support both tenders and projects for HVDC system design locally or globally.
• Develop personal competency by well accomplishing each assignment.
• Configuring AC/DC arresters to ensure the economic and steady operation of HVDC and verify the configuration by studying system overvoltage in PSCAD/EMTDC, which will be the input for equipment RS and mechanical layout.
• Involved in equipment rating study, such as AC/DC breaker, DC chopper, PIR, etc.
• To efficiently cooperate with every cross-function interface, make sure the understanding of each other’s needs is sufficient.
• To understand customers’ requirements thoroughly, ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.

About you

Requirements for HVDC system design - Insulation Coordination Intern

• Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Power Systems/Power Electronics.
• HVDC working experience or knowledge will be considered a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of power systems.
• Preferably experience with power system calculation tools such as PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB, and Mathcad.
• Preferably knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing.
• The willingness to collaborate and share with team members.
• Strong self-learning aptitude with a high technical interest.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
