Your role

Your job responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • Provide business insights by conducting descriptive analysis, modern data mining techniques, and visualization tools to help business stakeholders make better decisions
  • Build machine learning algorithms to support the forecasting, prediction, segmentation, and recommendation for IKEA business
  • Build operation research algorithms to support IKEA logistic operations

About you

To apply for this role, you need to have the following eligibility criteria:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in economics, statistics, maths, engineering, natural sciences, or related majors is preferred
  • Good command of SQL for data processing and analysis
  • Good command of programming languages (e.g. Python, Java), including concepts from functional and object-oriented programming paradigms
  • Good knowledge of data mining techniques, including regression, tree model, neural network, NLP
  • Nice to know Operation research theory, including linear programming models, and non - and non-linear programming. Be familiar with the OR use cases, including resource allocation, transportation problems, assignment model
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, network, and build strong relations with team members and stakeholders
  • Fluent spoken and written English, CET6 is required. Need to adapt to the English working environment
