Your Role
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Provide business insights using descriptive analysis, data mining techniques, and visualization tools to aid decision-making.
- Develop machine learning algorithms for forecasting, prediction, segmentation, and recommendations.
- Create operational research algorithms to optimize IKEA's logistics operations.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, or related fields, with a preference for those who can commit to at least three working days per week for over four months.
- Proficiency in SQL for data processing and analysis.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java, with knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.
- Familiarity with data mining techniques, including regression, tree models, neural networks, and NLP.
- Knowledge of operations research theory, including linear and non-linear programming, and familiarity with use cases like resource allocation and transportation problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship-building.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with CET6 certification, and the ability to adapt to an English-speaking work environment.
