Data Analyst Intern (Start ASAP)

Your Role

Key responsibilities are as follows:  

• Provide business insights using descriptive analysis, data mining techniques, and visualization tools to aid decision-making.  
• Develop machine learning algorithms for forecasting, prediction, segmentation, and recommendations.  
• Create operational research algorithms to optimize IKEA's logistics operations.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:  

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, or related fields, with a preference for those who can commit to at least three working days per week for over four months.  
• Proficiency in SQL for data processing and analysis.  
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java, with knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.  
• Familiarity with data mining techniques, including regression, tree models, neural networks, and NLP.  
• Knowledge of operations research theory, including linear and non-linear programming, and familiarity with use cases like resource allocation and transportation problems.  
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship-building.  
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with CET6 certification, and the ability to adapt to an English-speaking work environment.
