Your Role
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Start and operate CNC machines and lathes safely to maximize performance and equipment lifespan.
- Follow manufacturing specifications to consistently produce products meeting quality standards.
- Collaborate with setters/engineers to adjust machine settings for tool and material variations.
- Operate ancillary equipment like bar feeders and internal probes according to specifications.
- Download and upload CNC programs to/from external PCs or control systems.
- Change and store jigs and fixtures to prevent damage or misuse.
- Adhere to quality specifications, reporting issues to the cell leader as needed.
- Comply with good manufacturing practices for full material and product traceability.
- Accurately record job transactions and monitor work in progress.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the cell leader.
About You
Ideal candidates will have:
- Basic mathematical skills and understanding of drawing tolerances.
- Knowledge of MPS and QPS systems or production and quality technical specifications.
- Basic understanding of machining principles, including tool life management.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements and company quality systems.
- Experience in CNC or machining disciplines.
- Understanding of rework and rejection procedures.
- Skills in operator self-inspection and DCS job recording/inspection record training.
- No red and green color blindness is preferred.
