Mechanical Design (AEPD) Intern (Start ASAP)

Join Tesla as a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to innovate in Autopilot and Electronics Product Design.

Your Role

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements.
• Conduct CAD work to ensure product integrity and manufactureability.
• Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses.
• Validate designs to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with engineers and suppliers for design optimization.

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

• A BS/MS in mechanical, electro-mechanical, or mechatronics, with a cross-field curriculum preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, statistics, manufacturing processes, and FEA analysis.
• Ability to apply engineering problems to physics and mathematics models.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• A passion for physics, technology, and Tesla's vision.
• Experience with FEA and ANSYS is preferred.
• Enthusiasm for electromechanical design and sustainable energy solutions.
